See that fellow on the right? In green? He and his lovely fiance came to visit from Seattle, and what do you do with a couple of history buffs from the Pacific Northwest? You take them wiltingly to Jamestown and through the steamy heat of a July day in Virginia and you force the guys to put on metal pointy hats and look retarded. It's what you do.

1 - One of our family vacations when I was a senior in high school was to Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. We loved it! But I'm a history buff, too. Great fun! (Comment this)

2 - I grew up with that stuff so it's a little hard for me to get all worked up about, but Richard grew up in the pacific northwest where everything is only about 20 minutes old, so he's really enjoyed the older stuff around here! YOu wouldn't recognize Jamestown, they added a HUGE and very nice center with lots of great displays. they spent a mint getting ready for their 400th anniversary! i was duly impressed! (Comment this)
