out! out! damn teeth!

Good lord, it's been 5 or 6 weeks of teething already. We should buy stock in infant tylenol. it's been a god send. You hear all sorts of tricks, frozen bagels, frozen bananas, chewy toy things. Ruby's favorite has been her sippy cup stored in the fridge so the rubber nozzle is nice and cool and filled with cold water.

Richard doesn't believe that there will ever be any teeth at all. but today! today I can feel a bit of a nib of tooth. I swear to god. the top ones are close too.

She's also definitely getting more mobile. When she's on her belly, she's starting to pull her knees up under her. And when she's up on her hands she can walk her arms around and turn herself. when she's sitting up she uses her hands to swivel herself around. i guess one day we'll have to invest in baby gates.

I went through the clothes that she no longer fits into, and had to pull out a couple of outfits that I can't let go of. A friend is having a baby and I want to share the two bags of clothes that ruby managed to out grow every three months. but the little striped onesie that has a little applique that says "little pumpkin" --it's the outfit we had her in for our first family picture--i'll hold on to it forever. it only cost us $3 post halloween at target. but it's so sweet.

i'm beginning to understand why my mom saved our baby teeth.
