hell in an imported hand basket

Does anyone smell danger? Isn't anyone starting to see the correlation between our economy's "jobless" recovery and the number of jobs that are outsourced?

Our country seems to have conflicting interests. we want inexpensive goods, but the wages we need to live here would result in more expensive goods, so we have our khakis made in malaysia. $20 khakis? you can't even buy the FABRIC to make a pair of khakis for that price! Companies are only interested in the bottom line so they outsource good jobs like customer service to India. It's going to become a vicious circle. The more we outsource, the fewer jobs will be available here, the less people will have to spend. I fear it will eventually remove us from our status of economic powerhouse.

With our penchance for deficit spending as individuals and as a country, we're likely to topple over. Our next president MUST MUST MUST penalize copanies for outsourcing jobs. that's a faster way to put money into american's pockets than a bogus tax cut.
